ok my car was fine before this problem. when i start the car and put it in drive and take off its fine but when i stop and put it on brake in my drive way my engine revving from idle to 3k and back and keep doing the same thing then i turn off the engine and turn it back on it fine but when i take off and drive its fine plz give me tip and pointer plz thank you

 

I might be wrong, but this could be related to your map sensor (manifold absolute pressure). Anyway, this is something really common on accords... i have seen a lot of accords from 94/97 doing that... i guess the 98/2002 can have these little problems as well.

 

I agree i had same problem culprit was tps sensor. I could also be a vacuum leak make sure pcv valve is hooked along with any vacuum hoses
