Colored OEM lug nuts?
Does black work for you? If so, you can get black lug nuts from your Acura dealer that will work on most Honda and Acura wheels. You can even get black wheel locks to match. Look in the FAQ topic stickied at the top of this forum for the part number(s).

I am not personally familiar with those. However, don't just ask the seller if they can be used with stock wheels; he will undoubtedly say yes, or give you some BS about the shape of the seating area not being important (NOT TRUE). If you need to, you can give him a link to the pictures in the FAQ topic, where it shows the lug nuts with the ball shape and the tapered shape on the seating area.

Most don't carry them in stock. However, if you just give them the part number, they can order them for you. Call them back and give them the part number and ask them if they can get them, and they will say yes.

nsxtasy....do you know the part number by chance? also...i just wanted to know if acorn buldge seat lug nuts are the same as ball seat lug nuts. i read a thread around here saying that acorn and ball seat lugs are the same thing..just need some reassurance. if so and if the dealership denies me for some odd reason, i was looking to get these: http://www.brandsport.com/grla-91137bc.html

Not necessarily. "Acorn", when applied to lug nuts, sometimes means different things. Some people and companies use it to refer to the ball-shaped seating area which Honda/Acura wheels require, which is what you want. However, others (including the McGard and Gorilla websites) use it to refer to the shape of the other end of the lug nut (i.e. NOT the end that comes into contact with the wheels). So you have to be careful.

Those have a tapered seating area, and should NOT be used with Honda/Acura wheels. You can view all the Gorilla lug nuts on all seven pages of their website here. The ONLY ones that should be used with Honda/Acura wheels are their item number 38138 (closed end) and 38038 (open end), shown on page 7, which have the ball-shaped seating area. NOT the ones shown in your link.

The '97-05 NSX lug nuts will fit your wheels. However, those years, the lug nuts had a chrome finish (part number 90304-SA5-013). The black finish lug nuts (part number 90304-SA7-811) were only used for the '91-96 NSX. So if you want black finish lug nuts, you'll need to get them from the '91-96 NSX, or order the right part number from your Acura dealer.
If you want chrome finish lug nuts, you may as well get them from your local Autozone or other auto parts store. If you do that, make sure they have the ball-shaped seat, of course. Last time I bought some from Autozone a couple of years ago, I think they were $1.09 each.

I've seen a lot of people doing things that are unsafe. I've seen people drive around on cars with one or two lug nuts missing. I've also seen people snap studs and lose wheels that way.
The problem is that lug nuts with the wrong (i.e. mismatched) seating area can still be screwed onto the studs and tightened with a lug wrench, so that people think they're safe - right up until the point where they start working themselves loose. DON'T DO IT.

Both of those very clearly have a TAPERED seating area, and should not be used on those rims.
Note that the word "acorn", as used on the Gorilla website, does NOT refer to the shape of the seating area.

Neither have I. As noted in that topic, if you use them, make sure you have enough threads when turning your lug nuts.
Of course, the safe, sensible, and easy route is to just get lug nuts with the right shape seating area to match your wheels.

This pic help explain just how bad using the incorrect lugs is.

Notice how some of the lugs are missing the colored coating in only a tiny circle around the seat? That little circle, is the entire seating surface when using mismatched lugs.
You want the entire seating surface of the lug to be in contact with the wheel. Anything else, is asking for trouble.

Spoon offers an oem lug nut replacement. They are gunmetal i bellieve but at $100 you might as well get the black acuras. Plus they are not red.
