dou you have a stand alone fuel management, and how well can you tune it? if the answer was neither, id say you could prob push a dry 50 or wet 75 if you didnt use it too much.

wet also pumps in extra fuel and is a little more effective. dry just sprays the nitrous and doesnt have as hard of a punch. If i was you i would take pimp wagons advice and start with a 50 or 75. then depending on how the car reacts you can go from there.

... I wouldn't go any higher then a 50 on a stock D-Series... then again i wouldnt put nitrous on a stock D-Series... well whatever you decide to do... the best of luck to you... Cheers!

P.S. your D will be in my prayers

No offence, but if you don't know the difference between a wet and a dry shot, I think you need to do some more research on nitrous kits in general. If you really want the biggest shot, you need to find the right plugs, a way to retard the ignition timing, a window switch, and a dyno sesson to make sure your AF is right on the juice.

Otherwise, you're asking your motor to kill itself. I wouldn't go past a 50wet on a D-series without what I mentioned... oh, and quick reference... don't for the love of god use a dry kit... they are weaker and more damaging.

IMO i don't think nitrous is the way to go. you should invest you money into internals, and then if you still want it go with the bottle. but thats just MO

a dry system causes loud noises that cost a lot of money to fix
seriously it just n2o gas thats going in , i don't recomend dry because your more prone to detonationif you don't get enough fuel

a wet system uses fuel and n2o which is better at keeping cylinder temps to a minimum ,and since your sending fuel into the cylinder your risk of detonation is minimal

a nitrous system is very similar to forced induction ,can you run a nitrous system with high compression?......turbo,or supercharger yes you can but it all depends on compression ration, fuel octane rating, and intake temperature i can go on and on but i'm not going to

in short it's possible but i really don't recomend it

I have seen 125 shot on a single cam make about 5 passes then the engine dropped a valve. Just throw a shot of gas on it and have some fun. trial and error blow the heck out of it. ITs not like a d16 is hard to find. Ther is thousands of d series engines come on.

this guys sounds like he used to be bottle happy. I personally, LOVE the stuff.

one thing i would add is, current condition of the engine can effect it's total life.

Despite what ANYONE says there is no safe number. Now what do most ppl do w/o typical problems, around 50-75 wet shot. There are to many variables to say how much is to much. Your motor condition plays a huge roll, the type of shot plays a role as well and what your doing for management does as well.

I have a bone stock crx and I am goin to do a h2d swap in it. In the mean time while I collect the parts for my hseries I am going to throw a 75 shot and see how the stock d16a6 will handle it and if it does fine I will step up to a 100shot untill she blows. IT should be fun. Its not my daily driver. I have never blown an engine so this is my chance. haha
