Default AEM Intake Install

Me and a friend are trying to install a AEM on his 95 Vtec Accord and we are wondering what the little black box is that is connected to the resonator under the original intake pipe...right behind the battery...what do we leave hooked up to it...its the box with the butterfly on in intake side....what do we leave there? let us know cause we are installing it right now...thanks,

As far as I can remember, the whole intake comes out, you'll end up with one plug disconnected from the setup too. It's normal. I've got no little black boxes left in there besides my fuses and ABS relay.

jack up the car, and remove the resonator....leave the tire lining on however, it helps the capture air and help the flow of the cai

And keeps the water out, preventing a messy hydrolock. Speaking from experience.

aight, we have gotten to the point where the intake is going in..and the little box i wsa speaking of is in the way and has to come out....but there is an electronic hookup and it looks like some kinda sensor...we just dont wanna get done and there be a ECU code or something and the car run shitty...if you guys need a pic of how you cleaned up that box and the 4 vacuum tubes hookup to it, i can take a digital and post it....let me know if that would help...but the box is directly behind the battery, it actually touches it...thanks for the advice so far....

How about you post a pic of the piece in question and we can tell you to rip it out?

Cool, have fun with it. He's going to burn a lot of gas just to hear it kick in now.
