Default B16 in 91 hatch... problems, help

I bought a 91 hatch with a B16 swap already done. When I first got the car everything seemed to be running great. I definitely underestimate how fast it was until after I beat a supercharged v6 car with it. Now I am having some serious problems with it.

For starters ever since I started running it down the track I has been acting wierd. Some time when Im shifting, usually from 1-2 or 2-3 it will stall and loose all power. The car will still be running but it will have absolutely no power and when I give it gas it acts as though its bogging down. I will have to let it coast to a stop. It will die. Then it will usually take up to a minute of turning it over before it will start again. When it starts it will blow out some black smoke for a minute then run normally again.

The biggest problem which just recently started is what I believe to be some electrical problems. When I first got the car it would tack out hitting the rev limiter at 8200rpms. VTEC came in between 6k and 7k. Now the car wont even pull past 7k and it feels like VTEC isnt even active. The car drive fine up intil its time for VTEC to come in then the car has lost a tremendious amount of power.

In addition to those problems the car doesnt run worth a **** when its cold. It acts like a carbed motor. I have 3 codes showing up. One is 02 sensor. It was disconnected when I got the car and the previous owner had no roblems with it. It also had a code for the idle air sensor or something like that and temp sensor. Whats most likely my problem here?

start by fixing all the cel's. iacv will cause it to idle bad or not want to idle at all, the o2 will cause it to run rich, and i dont think vtec will work with the temp sensor out plus with the cel's. after you fix those and if you still have problems then come back on here.

any car that came stock with a b16, like b16 del sol's or 99-00 si coupes. you could even get those sensors off any b series like integras its all the same.

Ok another question, The car has a DC header. How do I make the 02 sensors read right and not throw a code? Theres no place for a front sensor.

yeah if any codes are being thrown the ecu will put the engine in a saftey mode where it rev limits at like 7500 and wont hit vtec. i dont know why it would be bogging down though.

Replaced temp sensor. CELs went off and car runs normal and actually seems to run better than before hitting the limiter at exactally 8200. However the bogging down thing is still occasionally happening. And at random times it will turn over forever and not start but if I can get it to roll and pop it in 1st or reverse it will fire right up. Im trying to figure out how to incorperate the front 02 sensor because it doesnt have one. Can I use a universal? And What header do you suggest? My DC doesnt have a bung.
