Just bought this car about 4 months ago, this is the 4th Accord I have owned. Last month the car died on the road and wouldn't restart. Changed out the spark plugs and problem solved.

Now the car will sputter significently (with RPM below 2000) whenever I down shift the car from 2nd to 1st (yes its a manual) OR if the car is rolling when put into 1st gear (ie on a hill)

Check engine light has NOT come on.
I do have the ABS light on but I believe that is a separate issue.

Any ideas?
