do you keep your ex's gear or sell it?
I think we should have a /26 ex gf, gear exchange
Seriously speaking though, most times it's smooth sailing when random girls ask for rides... They need to wear gear obviously, Which i just happen to have in my closet...
But when i start to get into a new relationship I usually get the, "Did your ex wear this stuff?" or "Who's head has been in here?" "why can't i get new gear? your ex did" blah blah blah... As much as i just wanna say, "Buy your own shet then, or don't ride.." It kills everything...(believe me, i've said it numerous times) So i have to bite my tongue.. good gear isn't cheap either. I'd rather buy me some new gear.. Just wondering what everyone does with ex's gear? I have 3 helmets, 1 jacket and 2 gloves that just sit when instances like this occur
i'm on a new gf gear strike!!

Ha. This is funny. I just brought down the gear from my ex this week. I had the new gf try it on and happy with the jacket and stuff. I am not buying no new gear for every girl I date. If they want their own new gear, let them buy it themselves and keep it when they leave.

+1
I told the gf she has to buy her own gear or no riding. Keeps her off the bike and I prefer it that way

I kept it. It's my gear, I don't give a **** if it's pink...I'll wear it. and yes, SEVERAL girls have worn it since, and I always make sure to get pics, and put them on my public myspace, so she can see she's been replaced by as many girls as there have been nights since she left.
sorry, a little emo about her still

i used that one already
well not exactly... i told her to leave her purse and just put her id and wallet in the jacket pockets... i see her pull out the last girls eye liner, lip gloss, earrings, "wtf is this?"
i just told her my cuzzn's gf borrowed the jacket.. needless to say it was a short nite... remember to check the pockets, all of them...

i kept my ex's gear and i let my current gf wear it......well its just a jacket but the helmet was my moms who lent it to me for my ex which now the current gf wears. She wants her own stuff but i told her for just the jacket and helmet she wants is $500. I cant drop that kinda cash on gear thats not for me haha. I feel bad though since she did pay my downpayment on the new bike for me....maybe she deserves atleast her own new helmet

I lol'd.
I was actually wondering what everybody does for this...
To those of you who buy gear for gfs: Was it nice gear, or pretty cheap stuff? I dunno if I could justify buying a gf some super nice Arai or something unless we've been together for a long time, haha.
