ive used the RC, precision, ford motorsport ...and like tony said they all suck about the same.

the injector drivers make things SOOO much easier. it took me some time to figure out how to get bens car to cold start with out the driver....but it runs pretty good now.

Sure does Should be even better now with an injector driver. As far as injectors go, the Bosch/Ford Motorsports injectors are by far the cheapest and I think thats what alot of people are running.

That is definately true Tony they all do suck. Its a 1600 injector spray pattern is as good as a garden hose turning on and off. hahaha.

But if my memmory serves me correct. There is a cheaper alternative to all those. I seem to remember ordering some injectors from I beleive Ford. The 1600cc injector is actuallt used in a CNG vehicle they make. Same exact part, but I think cheaper. Don't quote me on that, but that is what we ordered back in the day. Maybe someone can chime in with the part number.

Can you guys tell me where to find those ford 1600cc injectors? Only place I got them from was NAPA, and they stopped carrying them.

We never had any problems idling and running 1600s on our Autronic cars.

idle is not the problem with 1600's. also keep in mind most of these true stand alones like the TEC3 already have an "injector driver" built into them.

also make sure these damn near free injectors you guys are getting are flowed as a set.

so what 1600 cc injectors does everyone recommend
found these on ebay they look like a good price.

you can email them and tell them to machine them down so they will fit the fuel rail.

Im using the Bosch blue top 160lb injectors. These have a nice spray pattern, I like them better than the yellow top "ford motorsport" injectors. They are 4.5ohm if I recall.
Anyone interested can contact me. Also using an FJO driver for these

I had a problem with the resistance on these, they arn't a true low resistance
injector. They are 2 amp peak and .5 amp hold rather then 4 and 1 as alot of the
peak and hold injectors are. They work fine with E85, kinda cranky with gas
though..

Yes Autronic has a onboard driver on the SMC and SM2, not sure about the SM4..

You mean you guys can't set your peak current and peak to hold ratio?

If your EMS can do staged fuel injection, its the way to go. I found with AEM EMS a 750cc primary injector and 1600cc secondary injector works awesome. Stock idle and drivability, and the transition is seamless switching over to the secondary set of injectors. Running 1600cc's as your primary injectors on gas sucks, and even with driver box its better but no where near as smooth and drivable as 1000cc's.

Here is a list of bosch part numbers and their associated flow and resistance:

http://injectorrx.com/boschtf.html

From what I've read, the 0280 150 839 are the best to get.

Justin
