Ok, so im having the hardest time trying to find an OEM lip for my EK. There are several 94-97 accords for sale in my area, and i was wondering if the front lip from one of these will fit my EK, or if anyone has gotten one to fit.

Pictures would be awesome if anyone has any.

 

Can anyone help me out? I just wanna see if this is even possible so i can rule it out if it isnt and just dish out for a civic one.

 

Which OEM lip are you looking for in the first place? There are three for your front end.

Ive been looking for the one that looks like this one. I found this in another thread and it said its commonly called the "SiR" lip.

I was just wondering whether the optional lip on the 94-97 accords would fit also

Oh awesome. Theres one for sale just up the street from me and im thinking of asking them if i can buy the lip. If you can find pics thatd be cool, cause i havent been able to find any online

 

The shape of the lips are different. You can change the shape of it with a heat gun. The lip on the silver ek is an sir lip.

There are replica lips galore on eBay too. This is a fairly common lip to find fakes of.

yeah but im very weary of ebay. i dont like giving out my payment info, and i dont trust things like paypal. Ive been having problems with "membership service" companies charging me for services im not receiving, so i dont feel like risking getting ripped off at the moment.

Im just trying to find a lip locally if possible, and these accords are the best ive found. I just wanna know if it will fit before i proceed.

I got one for my old accord for like $32 brand new from Honda. Might be worth checking your local dealer out.

ok, so i called up my local Honda dealer because their online inventory only covered the new cars, and the guy told me that their catalog showed that there were no lips for my car. Im at a total loss now...

 

You're not at a loss. Create a paypal account, and buy one off eBay if you're not willing to buy OEM. You're not at a loss unless you give up, then you lose. Paypal is secure. Find a legit, reputable seller with a good percentage rating, that has sold many parts to justify the good percentage. Buy. Have lip.(paint lip?) Install lip. Drive.

 

Many, many, many people have successful sales through eBay. Just do what 99_hb_on_air said. As long as you know what you're looking for and you know how eBay works you'll be fine.

Since i have found no actual answer to whether a 94-97 accord lip will fit an EK, i have found several in my area and im going to try to see if i can get it to work. if i can, ill make a write-up about it so that others can check it out
