Default Cost of Custom 3" Exhaust setup

I was wondering how much people have paid for their custom exhaust systems. We're talking from the downpipe's flange all the way back. Downpipe has flexpipe and bung with O2 sensor.

I was quoted $880 which includes magnaflow muffler, magnaflow cat, and some cheap resonator - 3" piping all pre-ordered mandrel bends (4x 90deg + 2x 45deg) cut and welded. To me it looks like $480 in parts and $400 worth of labor.

or ?

there is no reason you should have to spend that much for a 3" catback, you can buy a Kteller 3" stainless exhaust piping kit for $260,buy a muffler and resonator and just have everything welded up at an exhaust shop or just buy a thermal catback for around $550-600

Where can you find a Thermal 3in for an EF for 260? Not being an ******* just really wanting to know. Cause i was just quoted 500 for one yesterday by my local performance shop.

I believe he said the thermal was $550-$600. The kteller kit is $260 and its just piping. That being said, add approx $300 for the muffler, resonator, and cat converter - we're at $560 in parts so labor goes down to $320, which is 4 hours @ $80/hr.

Anyone else out there that's had a 3in exhaust system installed in their EF before?

I ended up buying the Thermal R&D 3" SS system - Mandrel Bent. Hung it myself, drove to a different exhaust shop and the guy there only charged $175. It's pointless to have a shop custom pipe everything when you can order a full pre-bent system online.

Downpipe was flared out to 3", new O2 bung, 3" flex pipe, I supplied flange and he bolted everything up.

I'll be going back to have a SS resonator + cat put in. I almost don't want to cut the Thermal system [damn sexy] to fit the res. in but I just don't like it that loud. I hope the cat will also tune it down.
