Default The True 2000 Phoenix Yellow Civic Type R Build

So I'm flyin out to San Francisco in two weeks to pick up the car, just tryin to figure out what to do to it... here's what it has...

Spoon 1.8 Crate motor
Spoon Throttle Body
Excedy Clutch and Flywheel
4.7 ITR Tranny with Quilfe LSD and LS 5th gear.
Mugen Header
Top Fuel Intake
Spoon Exhaust with silencer

I don't know if I'll do too much to the motor right now, but I'm thinking I need some suspension, rims, and maybe some DC5 Recaro's.

suspension, I;m leanin towards either Tein SS or Skunk2 Pro-C.

Rims either Volk TE-37's or CE28N's in bronze 16x7's.

Any other ideas? What you guys think? Tryin to get that JDM OEM 1st place at HIN Seattle this year. haha...

Here's some pics....thanks Kevin

Some yellow recaros or Tomcats would be sick seats instead of DC5s.
Although the Volks are bad ***, I would like to see something different than bronze. The car is sick and its hard to make it more bad ***. Maybe a BYS bumper in PY would set it off. never seen a CTR with one before

haha...thanks guys...

The BYS bumper's are siiick. I'm pickin up the BYS CTR wing spacers for sure now that you mention it.

True, bronze is really overdone, but I don't know...what other color? white? green? haha. no idea.

I'd probably do horrible, unspeakable things to get yellow recaro's...that would be siiiick. Know where i can buy a set?

And ya, I'll get it dyno'd and post some numbers when I get it. maybe somewhere around the 180whp area?

Thanks for the input guys!!!

haha...thanks guys...I'm really excited about pickin it up. I've already got some shop time to get all the electronic stuff sorted out asap and get that Navi in there the day after I get back. What screens are good tho? The guy's telling me Kenwood but I like the AVIC D3's that pioneer came out with...

I decided on the CE28N's for sure too. Found a Bronze set for a good deal locally. About to pick those up.

Did you guys ever see the issue of SuperStreet where they did the showdown of boost vs na and it had the orange K swapped boosted ek vs the pink k swapped ITB ek? well I'm pickin up that whole mirracle X-bar with the optional bars from the guy with the pink one while I'm in cali.

and what's better, Zeal or Tein?

I saw that but I didn't think it was very sick...looks kinda junky and abused...I have seen clean ones tho. I think I'm going to stick with the Top Fuel for now.

And who said anything about cheap parts? haha...I'm pickin up those CE28N's in bronze with Azenis rt-615 tires in a few days, I am just really inbetween about suspension parts because I want to try and keep a real JDM disposition about the parts that go into the car, but I also want an alright ride quality and something i can have slammed for shows and somewhat slammed for weekend driving.

So final verdict...Zeal off of Leonard's Sick Pink EK from Superstreet, or a set of TEIN SS-P's?

And ya...I'm going with the pioneer D3 head unit for sure....

i say go for zeals if you plan on doing some track duty, but if this car is just for the street then go with the TEINs.
