I'm skeptical about a flush fixing a grind.

Sorry.

Your Welcome!
i couldn't believe it fixed mine either, but it hasn't come back in 6 months of hard driving!

i had my car 6 months before i started getting any symptoms,
right around 45,000 miles it started grinding,
but it got so bad i thought i'd be doing tranny work/tranny swap

i'm glad it worked for you also!

i used honda MTF- dealer prices... oh well, IT WORKED!

---just some more heads up---

i searched this problem for about a month before i did it...
i shouldn't have waited that long- it was starting to grind in other gears sometimes.
but i didn't find any shavings or anything- which was a relief!

i have heard many others say- "it will come back..."
and others replying- i change mine every 10,000 miles, and i dont have the issue...
mine has done it a few times- but only when i was in a hurry, and i forget to warm them up/lube them before driving...
if i do the 1,2,3,4,3,2,1 trick every time, its perfect!
Good Luck!

GM synchromesh Friction modified is no longer made as ive read around.

luckily, honda's new Manual transmission fluid is very much like GM's synchromesh. green bottle, white cap.

i changed the fluid in my EP with 62K miles on it and the tranny feels damn smooth and fluid. None of that notchiness that you get in 2nd n 3rd.

Is this thread really necessary? You could have just PM'd those who helped you out, at least.

how much is each bottle of the new honda mtf anyways?

nevermind. found it for 6 dollars each at inlinefour. all the stealerships around here wanted more than 6 dollars per bottle.

Exactly, it happened two days ago? What does it matter, does a bumped thread really disrupt this low traffic RSX/EP3 forum? Seriously, just let it go.

... Wait, I fell into your trap; I should have just let it go as well and not responded ... I’m caught in paradox now. What a hypocrite I have become.

I was about to respond back to what you had to say here until I read this below...

After reading it, I laughed, out loud.
