Default Wrapping my seats...

Wasnt completly sure which forum to post this in, so I figured this one would work...

Anyway, i'd like to take up a little (Maybe its larger than I anticipate) project of redoing my stock seats from my 98 civic SI (ex). Passenger one has a burn mark, and tar on it - and they are a little worn.

Most would say "lol go buy bride/recaro seats ", but i'm poor, and really wouldn't mind just wrapping them with black vinyl.

I searched, but couldn't find any threads about anything related to this, does anyone know of a how-to or another thread in which someones done with (possibly with pictures). I have a general idea on how to do this, but i'm worried the way i'm thinking of doing this its not going to be tight enough on the seat, and there will be wrinkle/extra material poofing out abit.

Thanks guys,

Doc

i would think that it would be hard to wrap vinyl as tight as cloth, but i guess that depends on the thickness of the vinyl.

Personally, i think vinyl would be really uncomfortable

Youre probably going to have to get it done professionaly. I've never seen a DIY reupholstering.
