I went through quite a bit of the archive and the current posts up here and cannot find an answer to my question. I am looking at building a d15b2 bottom end, a6head, and other bolt ons. Looking into the head gasket to use, stock is .043" which is all good and fine. This car is going to be built NA, and I looked into using a cometic headgasket. Question is, what is the thinnest I could go on a head gasket without running into problems? Keeping in mind I want this build to be reliable and fun. . . .would cutting down to say .027" be too much? this would put me just shy of an even 10:1 cr. any one have any insight on this? . . . its appreciated. thanks
