Default Shipping our Cars......

I am looking for some personal experience in shipping our cars. I want to ship my car from OH to TX in an enclosed auto transport and wanted some real world feedback. The car is currently not running and I want it enclosed transported only. With our cars being worth so much and the cost of replacement covering about what our clutches and turbos are worth....any input or suggestions? What about recommended companies? Thanks.

Reliable Carriers seems to be a big choice whenever i go to the big *** nopi show. there is usually about 15 of them on the first and last day delivering and picking up all the "ballin" cars.

Hahah.....No doubt. You want a bow on the car when it arrives? I just need to convince the wife to help push the car out to the street when the transporter arrives since I will be out of town.

In a situation where someone else has the car, I remove something so it is impossible to start.
That way nobody is able to start it up and screw it up. Something simple like a ignition wire or fuse.
I have taken a car to the paint shop and told them dont start it and they tried to anyway.

Yeah, its going w/o ecu, intake manifold, turbo, etc. I will box that stuff up and ship it seperately.

Thoughts about putting car parts in the car....turbo manifold covered in the rear and valve cover, etc. All covered in the rear hatch?

Jason, why not put the car on a plane? T1 doesn't have his own fleet of C5-Galaxy's?

What kind of small time shop do you think you're dealing with?

Just have your people drive trailer it down Jason. You don't pay them what you do just to clean your house and cook your meals!

As far as parts in the car, i would imagine it would be safe with any reputable company and if an inventory was done when it left and when it arrives it should keep them accountable should anything come up missing.
