Default Boosted H2B swap in an ek Opions?

Well I think its time i did a start the car is strictly going to be a track car. Has anyone done a turboed h2b swap. Quater mile times? Also will the turboed manifold fit with the condensed room. I tried searching but came up with nothing. Suggestions and opions are welcome.

I got a question to the guy that said he has seen the h2b supercharged, where those in an ek. I want to supercharge my h22/ek but i was told that is couldn't be done.

I have never personally seen a turboes h2b swap but i would expect mid to high 300 range on HP if it were done right and probably like 13's. The H22 motor cant be boosted as high as say a B18 because of the thickness of the cylinder walls, that being sad i would say to be sure to build the bottom and top end for low compression before trying to put a lot of FI air into it.

the best bet would be a log style turbo manifold for it, im sure you could make room for say a ramhorn some other beautiful piece of work but i would just run a log style, unless you are planning on getting real gnarly with it.

i have a eg hatch not a ek.. i have a good bit of room for a nice size turbo. i was told that i could run a safe 5 to 7 psi all stock true or not?.. im new to the hondas i have an 600hp srt and the h2b is my daily but i would love to put alittle boost to it.. i took it to the track this past saturday and ran a 13.5 at 105mph on street tires with 2.0 60 foots and .30 r/t.. so with the h22 blocks are u saying they need selved? and one more ? what is the compression on the h22s?

That all depends on WHICH h22 you get.. and yes.. it MIGHT be ok on 5 - 7 seeing on how most engines dont blow up QUICKLY with that.. however.. why not sleeve it and make your money invested worth it? H22s have frm closed deck.. la di da.. SO much more of a hassle than just "sleevin" it.. but if you do it right you'll be able to pull plenty of power for sure. SORRY TO CHANGE TOPIC but.. which h2b kit did you guys go with and hows it working out for you? any problems? and if you boost an h2b in an ek for track use.. phew.. big numbers.. just do it right.

i recall a few years ago the car on the cover of Honda Tuning magazine was a turbo H23 swap (i don't think h2b, just straight swap). the guy had a big load of money in it, nitrous, drag tires.. pretty over the top! his max number on the dyno was in the 850hp range...

if it's going to be a track car, you don't need the A/C condensor so you can use the extra room for the turbo and piping. i would expect to hit anywhere near 800hp, but i think you could get 450 without a struggle if you're budget is sufficient and you plan it all out right.

keep in mind, the "G23" would be great for turbo due to the ferrous cylinder liners.

browse the hybrid forum and the FI forum to see other builds. they're out there.
