I put tein springs on my car, the s techs, i wanna if i get them compressed, will the car sit lower? Also my passenger front is a lil higher than the driver side, whats the deal with that?

 

Do you have aftermarket or OE struts?

im confused... u compress them to get the on/off the strut... put the strut back together and decompress... maybe its not seated correctly?

 

No, i didnt compress them at all. I was thinkin bout takin it in and having them take the springs back out and compress them. And so thy can put them on right so its not lower on 1 side

 

how did u get the springs off without compressing them??? and how did u get the new ones on without compressing them??? that just sounds dangerous.

Even if you compress the springs all the way to the point of coil bind, it's not going to change anything (with quality springs anyway). If you wanted height adjustment, you should have bought coilovers instead.

Alright, thanx for getting what i was tryin to say. I might jus take it in so they can fix the passenger side to make it even. Coil overs are really expensive, but i do want them.

 

wtf do u have a strut/spring combo or coilovers? if u have a coilover then u dont need to compress the spring (ever really), but if u have a strut spring combo and u changed ur springs, you definately need to compress the spring to remove them and install them onto the shock.

 

dude, alls i know is that when my pops n i put them on, we didnt use a compressor, we dnt even have a compressor. the only time we compressed them was with a car jack so we can tighten up all the bolts in the correct position.

 

So what are you trying to do? You want your car lower? What do you mean 'get the springs compressed'? They are one height thats it. If its not low enought then you need more agresive springs or coilovers. As for one side being higher make sure you have the correct spring(not the front in the back and vice versa) Make sure nothings binding and that your shock is seated properly and the spring is seating properly on the shock perch.

 

yeah see thats what i was saying, now i know thanx. I might go with the skunk 2 springs instead. yeah the springs r in the right place, ima take it in so they can take a looks-see. Thanx man

yeah true, but i highly doubt that. It even says "F" or "R" on the actual spring

 

**** than Maybe you got a bad set thats not common for a company like Tein though

 

I'm still actually confused. Take some pics for us. Are you sure the spring seated correctly on all the struts?

 

Brand new springs will settle a little bit too. Give it some time they should get atleast a little lower.

Well yeah if you car is super low with no suspension travel its going to be a hard ride.

 

The stiffness of the ride, they have a really high spring rate
