ring gap issues on stock bore B18C
I am rebuilding my B18C and i am putting in the new rings on my P30 pistons.
i measure the ring gaps, on the top ring i got 0.016 on all 4 and on the second ring i got 0.018.
I honed the block a tad now i am getting 0.018 on the first rings and 0.020-0.021 on the second ring.
I am going to spray on the motor.
I want to know if i put together the motor with these ring gaps if i will have problems. A friend told me i will have serious blow by and the motor will smoke badly.
Is this true? will i hurt my motor and have to rebuild again soon?
Bearing clearances are all in spec, and piston to wall clearance is to spec.
What should i do ?

For spray you will be fine as the pistons and rings heat up and expand more. Hope you got the "spay" piston to wall right. Rings will be OK.
