Hey guys, after going thru a big bump, my speakers will not work. The headunit works perfectly. Everything lights up and the cd player plays. I checked my wiring and everything looks good. I can't tell what it could be. How can it knock out all my speakers at once...the front and rear ones don't work at all. Someone help me!!!

 

do you have an amp? check the amp if you do. check power and rca inputs

Just an aftermarket deck + 4 spkrs,

To check all the speakers you remove the radio, and place an ohm meter on the speaker line, and check for 4 ohms of resistance for each speaker. Greater than 4 ohm of resistance could mean the speakers are grounded.

Or you can pop the speakers,remove and disconnect the radio. Then cut each speaker set of wires one at a time (the + and- front left, then front right...) , get a 9volt battery and contact the wires. If you hear some mild poppoing and static sounds then that peaker is OK, repeat for all 4 speakers.

All 4 speakers are OK, then check the deck. rig a speaker to the speaker outputs (one at a time) and verify the radio has sound for each speaker.

This is very similar to algebra, isolate each variable and solve. The variables being the sepakers x4, radio, wiring to the radio.
