I have ac, and it fit like a glove. Just remove the stock battery box. Well, I actually had to take my radiator out cuz of all my ac bs being in the way, and also had to take the top bolt out of my tow hook to get the box where i wanted it. Took me about an hour, but it definately fits right in there.

If it doesn't fit perfectly file it till it fits.

Mine took a bit of trimming nothing major, but I'm happy with it esp at the sale I got at.

Can you get a pic exactly what isn't fitting and where?

The battery is suppose to go under that lip (design to avoid having a top bracket support). If you want to remove the battery, you'll be forced to loosen the whole bracket. Did you compare the height dimensions of the battery versus the space between the top lip and bottom lip of the "box"?

yea i opted to not go with the password crap. Fabbed one up for a fraction of the price and made it look alot better and the batter doesn't move at all.

Maybe the problem is the bracket is made for a pc680 and he has a pc680mj which has a metal jacket so its slightly taller because of the metal around the whole battery. so it doesnt fit under the lip

Your correct! If you remove the metal jacktet it will fit in the bracket better.

the metal sleeve is ment for if you put the battery anywhere inside the car... you dont use it with the carbon mount in the password kit

Wrong....its to protect the battery from heat! You should use that if your putting the battery under the hood. You do not need it if installing inside the car!

i know i can use a small dremel and fix easy!!!!
exept i have the conviction of, when you pay for a kit (battery and relocator)
from the same place he suppose to fit perfectly!!!

i paid 150$ cdn for the relocator
and 210 for the battery
from password jdm ( i pass by a reseller in quebec)

i know now!
password is REALLY crap!

i just came into the same problem a few days ago,
i took the metal jacket off the battery.
and for all who say it's for blocking the heat, the carbon fiber cover is doing the exact same thing.

works great for me

you also have to take into consideration the location in wich the battery sits... how hot can it posibly get right next to the trans?

Metal jacketed vs. Non-metal jacketed: The metal jacket is needed if it's being mounted near heat to protect the plastic of the battery from swelling. The lead plates are under much higher pressure than a lead acid battery and if the plastic heats up, the plates will want to expand outward which can ruin the battery if it doesn't have a jacket.</TD></TR></TABLE>

just wanted to add Odyssey's explanation of the metal jacket.

It doesn't even look like password jdm sells that part anymore. I guess thats kind of in there defense; but they're still over priced.

okay i just got off the phone with the battery company,
they knew the kit and said the carbon fiber was doing the samething as the metal jacket.
also there is alot of air coming in the front of the car.
the only really way to get the kit to fit is without the metal jacket
to answer the original question
