Default aem hybrid CAI - where to put bypass valve?

Hi,

I've just bought a AEM Air bypass valve for my AEM hybrid cold air intake (crx w/b16a1).
Doesn anyone know the correct spot to place it?

Here's my install:

Judging from the shape of the upper/lower pipe connection rubber, I believe it should be placed there.

Any other thoughts?

That's exactly where it should go.

Thanks for your input.

my only concern is that the bypass valve is hard plastic. Isn't it supposed to give a little at the junction, to compensate for engine movement? Hence the rubber coupler?

The lower tubing is mounted in rubber mounts though...

That should be fine where it is, I'd think there will be enough give elsewhere that it won't be an issue. If you want to make sure, throw it up on jackstands and have someone hammer on it.
