SEARCH!

but basically:

retrofit >>> PnP for light quality and long-term life & reliability

PnP >>> retrofit for cost and ease of installation

beware: with many PnP kits, your capsules (bulbs) and/or ballasts will fail within the first year of use.

Retro fit:
-using other cars projectors that comes with stock hid (Acura TSX...BMW E46..infinity FX) and try to fit it in to your oem headlight
- very good result in beam pattern and light output (perfect cut off if you know how to aim it)
- Expensive and time consuming..but it'd paid off if it done right

PnP
- use the HID conversion kit (the HID bulb..the wiring and balast) and your oem headlight or aftermarket projector headlight (depo brand..TYC..etc)
- easy to work with because it's Plug n Play (PnP)
- cheap and fast if you know how to wire them
- usually the result is not as good as retro fit one (laosy cut off..etc)

i hope i explained it right
