Old Review of GS-R - get pissed and laugh too....
Came across this old review - compares the GSR to a Grand Prix...what a moron.

The GS-R we tested comes to life in that second to third gear exchange, but seems locked in embryo stage in first.
Sounds like they didn't know how to drive it in the first place!

I sure hope this guy got help for his CRACK addiction. If not, he's probably selling his body for a fix at this point!!
Oh ****. I am going to sell my GS-R now and buy a Grand Prix. I really need that extra, off the line power 0-60 in 10.5 seconds. Edmunds says they are worth $2600 now!!! LOL!

quote "$600 for the optional decor package that gives you the sporty plastic rocker panels and wheel-well extensions,"
ahhh the pontiac tradition continues of adding large crappy lookin plastic panels to the sides off all there cars.....
quote "And while you have a choice of 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic with the Prix, you have to settle for a 5-speed manual in the GS-R"
damn you mean i have to settle for the 5 speed manual????
damn i cant belive this kinda propagana exsists hehe

btw they should have kept both cars and done a reliability tst on them. We all know who would win.

the 5-speed requires nerves of steel as well as a tibia made of the same material to depress the clutch a few hundred times in a rush-hour drive.

I hope that guy lost his job. Did he forget to take the e-brake off when he drove the integra? He said it didn't really liven up till 2nd-3rd change. huh? 1st gear rocks in my GSR.
I guess they didn't have them in '93, but I feel that my GSR sedan is very roomy and can comfortably seat 4 adults
. Seems like this guy must have been shifting at 4000 RPM or something!

This says it all:
"You can thank the rising value of the yen against the U.S. dollar for inflating the GS-R sticker to within a whisker of $20,000"
Doesn't that seem a little biased to you??? The guy is blaming things on Japan and then comparing a Japaneese car to an American car. He conviently forgets that the American dollar is inflating as well. Hmm, I wonder which one he's going to like more. There are a lot of close-minded people who don't like imports just because they came from another country.
I once let a domestic guy drive my car. He later said that it had no power. Of course, he was shifting at 2k rpm and being conservative on the throttle, so it's not like he even gave the car a chance. It's very easy to give a car a negative review when you have no clue what it's capabilities and limits are.
There are a lot of people who just don't understand what the Integra is all about. One such person is the writer of that review. If he knew what he was talking about, he wouldn't be complaining that the GS-R isn't available with an automatic transmission. He just doesn't get it.

that sounded like more of a review for the grand prix than the gsr.. that guy is a moron... obviously that guy is againist import cars..
Yeah, the fuknut even says the GSR "lacks the power of a larger Pontiac Grand ***** coupe" - I'll concede that the Grand ***** probably has alot more torque, but the Geeser definitely has more HP. Also, if you consider power to weight ratio, there is no way they could say the GP is "more powerful".
The whole article is fundamentally pointless- the GSR and GP are not the same class of car anyway.
Glad y'all enjoyed this incredibly bad car review - it undermines the confidence I once had in the Cartalk reviews.
PS - baonest, I actually just bought a house up in North Durham, so I don't get to Raleigh much. And since I recently got laid off, I'm mostly just smoking dope and tearing up trails on my mountain bike.....peace y'all.

did anyone else read the three other reviews? 2 of them talk about how great the car is, the other one just kinda stats the figures. Wonder where this guy who apperently can't write a car review is now
