Default Gauge Cluster lights dont work

I have a 91 civic h/b dx and after i installed a cd player my gauge light dont work but the rest of my dash lights do. what is up? help please

Same happened to me, it was the bulbs that go in back

I bet you blew a fuse. Check the fuses in the underdash fuse box, this has happened to me when installing an aftermarket deck before. It's the same fuse that controls your running lights.

Sweet thanks guys. Is it hard to replace the bulbs if they are blown? And i dont have a fuse box cover so any help on which fuse it is?

No, but the cluster is kind of a PITA to get out. I seriously doubt it's your bulbs though man.

I know the fuse is a 20A, just pull all the 20A fuses and see which one's blown.

mine is a loss solder connection, connecting the lines on the back of the gauge cluster together. I had is soldered on, and I guess another line has broke. I am either gonna switch and get another gauge cluster or indiglo gauges I guess.

having a problem. i picked up an auto cluster out of a 91 sedan with a tach and everything. i put it in and it fires up with tach, lights, speedometer and everything. the only problem is tha tthe gas doesn't read while the warmth of the car does. i got a 90 dx hatch. help! thansk!

mine did the same, i took dash apart to get cluster free and just made sure all connections on beck of cluster were good. i had a loose connection that caused my dash lights to not work. i would start there first. if that dont work, it could be a bad fuel gauge part of the cluster

opened it up and toyed with the fuel gauge. then went to the gas station put two gallons in. went home and jsut there for like a little. now the gas is bein read. i think the fuel needed a little bit of time to be read as the other cluster knew where my gas was already.

i had the same problem, but mine became REALLY serious (some kind of wiring problem).

I ended up getting a whole new crx.
