What do I need for a rear disk brake conversion? I posted this under Acura Integra by accident!

Rear trailing arm assembly, ebrake cables, prop valve.

 

if ur car is equipped with abs then u don't need to do a swap......but if u r running with back drums then u need the whole back arms n rotors n brake lines n the whole assembly

 

lol. si brakes are worse than an ex with drums.

but to count me out... how are Si rear discs worse than an EX with drums?

 

well for one, the weight. for two the prop valve. ever notice how your rear pads wear out after youve replaced the fronts about 7 times? ive owned both an ej8 with drums AND an em1 and my ej8 brakes just felt better.

spend some time in the road racing forum. a lot of the setups are just real good rotors/pads up front and drums in the rear.

you can always do the rear disc conversion for the bling factor.

 

hmm.. never had that problem on my last car.. they would wear evenly...

 

what was your last car? if your front and rear pads on a civic wear evenly there is something wrong.

 

1994 civic coupe... with i believe the EG Si rear discs... but yeah if anything... i changed my fronts maybe once more than the back...

 

i have the rear si brakes, with the right prop valve i replaced my front two times before replacing my rear, I have no idea what uneven wear you are talking about.

 

i exagerated a little bit on the 7 times but, rear discs really dont do dick.

 

Ok, thanks for everyones help on this I appreciate it, I know that the Si rear disk assembly wil work but will the rear brake assembly from an Integra work?
I also wanted to know if the I can just change out the front calipers from my Civic to front calipers from Integra without any major mods?

 

you need to change the master cylinder if you want to change the front, for the rear you can keep you cylinder.
