Default Help Me Please!!!!!!!! I have a 89 Honda Crx Si That won't stay running.

As I said above I bought a 89 Crx Si, It sat for 3 years because the fuel pump went out. I put a tank from a 91 Crx Si in and it was running real rough, it won't idle and now it won't run at all now.

So if anyone at all can help me please let me know.

If the fuel pump still sounds, I'd say clogged filter/injectors. Did you drain the replacement tank and wash the sediment out of it? You'll have to pull the injectors, send them off to get clean/backflushed/etc; replace the fuel filter and I'd backflush your fuel feed line too. Heck you may have to pull the tank back out and clean/replace the filter on the pump itself as well. Check condition of your spark plugs as well.

I've got a 90 crx SI that hadn't been used in 4-5 years. All original. It has just been sitting. I bought it with 98 k original miles a couple of months ago. Had to drop the tank and have it dipped and cleaned. New pump and fuel level sending unit. My dad pulled the fuel rail and cleaned it while I was outta town, I work a lot in a different part of our state. I'm assuming he had it dipped and flushed. Anyway, I changed the oil, all the filters and dropped a new battery. It's been running great. But it still feels like I have to rev a little higher than I should when leaving in 1st gear. I'm used to driving a DA integra but still I'm wondering if the injectors should be backflushed. It doesnt stutter. It doesnt stall. No engine codes. Just feels like it should have more than it does. Before my DA I used to drive an 89 EF sedan LX. The sedan seamed to offer more...By the way I need to replace the lower hatch glass...anyone know where theres a thread on that? I've already got the replacement piece.

eh... could just be a tired motor or you are just biased from the DA and don't have an accurate memory of the old sedan you drove . It wouldn't hurt to have the injectors sent off for a true cleaning. Don't fall for the locals' "fuel injection" cleaning. They just run a few things through the fuel system and intake just like what you could do on your own and they charge $$$ money for it.
