My resevor was overheating..but the radiator wasant
I noticed that the radiator cap was broken the spring and the washer were not attach to cap , so im wondering if thas why my resevor was over heating?

Your reservoir cannot overheat....it's just a plastic bottle. The coolant came from the radiator and overfilled the overflow bottle.
Just get a new radiator cap
