Will d15b2 work in Crx HF with HF ecu?

I am planning to have my engine rebuilt, keeping the original engine in the crx.
However, I need to have a temporary replacement. One of the local shops are selling a HF motor but when i looked at it it was 16 valve d15b2. The Crx HF has the 8 valve d15b6.
As long as i use the intake manifold and exhaust manifold and dizzy from my stock motor (d15b6) will the d15b2 run fine? Or will it run lean or rich?
the junkyard has 3 month warranty on the engine and its actually relatively cheap (for a junkyard price). The 3 things that worry me about the motor though is that the oil filter is off, the dizzy is off, spark plug wires (probably plugs too) are out of it and so dust and crud have been getting in the motor from sitting. Also, the intake manifold is an HF intake manifold but it has clearly been gasket sealed to the long block (just shows it may have been poorly taken care of).
Thanks,
Shane

you'll be alright. I would maybe turn the engine over a couple of times without spark to allow it to oil itself back up if it has been sitting for a while.
other than that.... you'll know without much question within a little while of driving. I had a b16a go in my car, start up and idle to operating temperature, take me to and halfway home from the gas station before telling me there was a blockage in one of the cam bearing journals when the head seized up like an arthritic in a freezer

well im not sure if it was me with my problems but, i recently bought a crx hf all stock.it had a D15b6 all stock. had loud rod knock. swapped a rebuilt long block D15b2 using hf, intake manifold,hf distributor and hf exhaust manifold. once it was in, i started it up. felt like the tps sensor went bad. so i replaced that with another tps i had laying around. same problem. swapped the ecu from HF(pm8) to SI(pm6) . problem solved. i dont know if its because of the 16valve that needs more fuel to support that extra 2 valve in each cylinder but thats what worked for me. :shrugs:
<---- didnt think the hf motor was 8 valve. my bad.
im ignorant in the ways of the crx and i thought the d15b8 had 8 valve not the d15b6.

haha as stated in the first post
Yeah thats what i was worried about is that it would need more fuel. I actually may have a pm6 laying around and could put it to use temorarily i guess. I was hoping to just run around with good gas mileage for a bit. who knows if it doesn't take long to get my motor redone i may just bust out the bicycle for a week or two.

Anyone else have any advice about this swap. I am doing the same thing (D15B2 in place of a D15B6). Is this correct about the dizzy, exhaust & intake, and ECU are a direct swap or will I have to change the ECU to a pm6???
