what are the ups and downs of this?

 

and if i put the jdm type r final drive in the ls tranny would it help any?

 

i thinkt he onyl part of the LS tranny that people like is the 5th gear because it's longer (for cruising)... otherwise i'd say why?

 

gears too long, you'd hate it unless you were boosting.

 

stay w/ GSR tranny w/ GSR motor.
u can upgrade to ITR tranny if u plan to stay all motor

so NO for LS tranny to GSR motor

I say if youhave a GSR tranny, why waste the damn money getting another one and putting it in, if you have a perfectly good tranny?

 

Do you guys think its worth the money to get an ITR tranny? I'm wondering if it is worth the 1500 dollars to improve my quarter mile two tenths of a second. Might just get an ATS final drive and a quaife LSD for your GSR tranny?

edit: I notice that people make a big deal out of the ITR tranny. It revs alot faster, but is it actually that much faster?

GSR tranny... spring for a Quaife LSD and some good tires... and your all set...

This whole LS thing with ls parts/gsr parts mixed is crazy....

 

The longer gears are benifical for turboed gs-r's..

No reason to get one for an allmotor or SC gsr though
