One question: Is your mom's bf a pretty stand up guy? If he is, I'd go for the Stang.

5.0 turbo just check out my friends chad klodner he built a custom setup pt88 precision turbo and everyhing with speed pro made 1100hp on race gas. Its street driven.. It will never out handle a integra but damn its fun to go straight or sideways most of the times...

What year will the Mustang be? I see alot of Mustangs around my city with body kits like the Saleen, Boss, Steeda, Roush, just to name a few, and they look nice. Only thing I see bad would be the handling and comfort compared to an Integra.

Most of those cars are autos....only way to be consistent each and every time. Too bad Honda auto trannys suck or I'd have one with a manual valve body and slapstick

Also...turbo Mustangs are pretty simple. Get a pair of T3's and some shorty headers. Turn the headers so they point towards the front of the car and you have instant turbo manifolds.

If you want power and speed, go with the mustang.

When i first say the topic title, I said mustang to myself before the post even finished loading, however...

Even if ur Ma's bf is a "stand up" guy, I wouldnt get into it. How many business partnerships fail? Even if the partners have been best friends all thier lives? Dont get urself into a situation that could potentially turn ugly. Just my .02

The last turbo Mustang my friend built we took it to the track and we broke the engine in half, the only thin holding it togeher was the oil pan and the intake manifold. Be sure you get a girdle for it. Contact Probe Racing if you are even thinking about a Mustang, they kick ***.

I agree. You might end up messing up your moms relationship. And anyway, gas mileage will kill.

like mad props homie

Unless your're going for TONS of power a big T04E will you fine on a single turbo Mustang. I'd go with twin T3's though if the money is there.

You cant run superchargers in Renegade class. My buddy chip haveman was the Renegade champion for 2yrs in the Renegade class. His teamate Mike Murillo runs the outlaw class with the turbo. I think turbo is only allowed in Pro 5.0 and outlaw, but the rules might have changed since last year. do you want to see some pics of Dan millen, Steve Grebek(RIP), & doug mangrum's car? I have several I can post.

i was just reading the class specs in a pro 5.0 mustang they said " heads up pro tree class for 9-10 sec fuel injected small-block ford powered vehicles with a single power adder" oops i guess i was readin another one where it said bout the twin turbo thing but is says nothing about not being able to use superchargers or turbo ahh i found it it saysd in pro street outlaw that "single power adders permitted( nitrous oxide, supercharger, and turbo) twin turbochargers prohibited" ya just post pics of gribek since my moms bf used to work on his car hell like the pics

If you do the math, you will soon realize that only 1/2 of a 9sec car is the same thing as owning a full 18 sec car... aren't 1977 CVCC 18 sec cars?

I'd build a turbo Mustang in a second , and run NMRA, for sure. Tell him to elaborate a little on his plan, and then post i'd like to see what all he has in mind.

stangs look cool dropped with a saleen kit on it... and you can turn up the heat on those cars alot easier than imports. however, im an integ kinda of guy... i rather roll in a 13-14sec integ than a quicker stang with less reliability.

Mustangs are just as reliable as any other car. It depends on the owner.
