Default Wiring up Dynasty 200 for 115V power

Just upgraded to the dynasty 200 from my sync 200. Im going to wire it for the 4-prong plug for 230V, but I also want an adapter for 115V. how would I go about doing that?

Ive seen adapters at walmart for RVs which looks like 230V 3-prong to 115V but i dont really know if thats what theyre for or if its just a special RV plug.

I wired mine for 115 on it always... then I made an extension cord with a 115 female to the 230 male. So you can play around with it like 230 always with a 230 recepitical to a 115male. All the stuff you can buy at home depot....just don't ask them for any advice lol.

edit
Mine actually goes to from 115 female to 3 prong dryer plug by the way.

ok got it and it works on the 115V plug

basic thing to remember is to tape back the red wire from the machine.

I used a 4-prong 50A male plug on the machine wiring. the green wire went to the u-shaped pin, the black to one of the side ones, and the white to the flat pin opposite the green.

then a female of the same with matching wires connected to a 3-foot 10/3 cable, and a regular 115V male plug on the other end.

thanks

230v only uses 3 of the wires. So why are you using a 4 prong 230v plug. I made an adaptor for my dynasty too. If you need picss let me know.

Please post pics of your setup.

I think I just figured out that I needed to put the white wire on the side opposite the black, instead of where I put it opposite the green on the bottom.

Im using the 4-wire plug because the new code for dryers is 4-prong.
My dryer is 4-prong, and the 220 that is in my parent's garage is 4-prong.

I am going to switch the white over to the side prong.
But then Im pretty sure I need to tie (jump) the green prong into the unused bottom one so that it will work when plugged into the 4-prong wall receptacle.
Can anyone confirm this?

gotcha, thats the same thing I have. So you didnt need to jump the green wire to the L-shaped bottom prong for any reason? I thought I had been told that would be necessary but I dont know.

im going to change my setup to a 4-prong twistlock on the end of the welder cable. this will keep the red wire incase I need to go 3 phase ever. then Ill have a few adapters from the 4-prong using the wht/grn/blk only to 115, 230 dryer, etc.
