Alright i just bought a 02 lx 5spd and i am trying to work out some of the problems.thanks in advance for any answers.

first thing is the car was idling at 2000rpms i replaced the throtle body with a new one from honda. Now it idles at 1500 then drops to 1100 and some times drops to 7-800.

Second thing is my speedo bounces up and down always to a higher speed than what i am running. which is running my miles up faster on my car. The other day i also noticed that my speedo was goin up while sitting still just reving the car up. when the rpms went up the speedo did to. i put 2 tenths of a mile on my car sitting still in a parking lot.

And now my gas gauge is acting funny but i read about it in the forum.

Do i just need to replace my gauges or what? I thought i might be the speed sensor but one of the local mechanics said it would throw a code if it was that. is that true?

 

You'll want to take that in to the dealership and have them take a look at it. Sounds like a cluster issue, and is something they should address.

 

i figured thats what i would end up doing. just going to see if any one had been through it. thanks
