As the title says, I wanted to know if the whole front chassis of an 88 is the same as the 91 front end. I am not talking about body parts, I really mean the frame.
Everything that I have seen has been the same... Of course chassis mounts for motor mounts are the same, and I have bolted crx fenders onto a hb, and I've seen vice versa. I've also bolted a crx front bumper beam onto a hb, so those bolt holes are all the same, headlights are interchangeable, I would have to say yes, front end under the sheet metal is the same from firewall forward crx and civic hb. I did a full CRX front end swap onto a hatch a few years ago, everything lined up like stock

Actually, I also wanted to know about the HB because finding a clean front nose frame of a Crx is hard to find. So, a Civic Ef would be the other option.
ED9 (as ironic as this may seem) is the chassis code and NOT Erectile Dysfunction - thusly it is the same. ED means ED no matter what year.
