I was looking at the Wilwood fastbrakes kit (11" and 11.75"). How many of you are using either of these kits and does it make that much of a difference from 11 to 11.75 to the main wilwood kit which I believe is beyond 12s?

The main question is what is overkill? Thanks for the input.

 

switch to GS-R or ITR hubs anyways, bigger bearings.

 

I have fastbrakes 11" SpecR conversion on my 99GSR and I love it

 

Yeah, I am driving the hybrid. The brakes are stock, other than panther + pads, which have great bite.

I guess I want to know if I will get pretty much the same performance from the various sized rotors (11, 11.75 & above 12) with the wilwood kit. I don't want to step up to 16" rims to accomodate a larger rotor and I would like to stay with 15s. However, I still want an above average braking system.

I prefer 15" wheels and 205/50 tires so I would stay with 11" rotors and Wilwood calipers.
