Can anyone get the code for me today? Dealer service dept. is closed today and the Honda customer care line is closed today too. For some reason the Honda site says my Vin is locked ???....

Honda dealerships are huge [pejorative]s and give their customers very hard times.
This is what you have to do, as I did.

First, try to call the dealership the vehicle was originally purchased from, must be Honda, and they should give u the code for free over the phone if you give them the serial number.

Like i said, some dealerships are [pejorative]s and will try to scam you, they will say "oh the only way is if you bring it in, then we can fix it" but they only say that to charge you a huge amount just to give u a free code. So then skip that dealership, and call another one. You will eventually find a dealership that is cool and not a rip off and they will give you the radio code and/or navi code. That's how I got mine!!

But yeh, they have computers where they can enter the serial number and give you the codes right away.

Go to this site and put in the required information. It will return the code. it works! It is a Honda site so it is safe. The only problem I had was that the code was the same as the one I have on the card that was issued to my car but still doesn't work. https://radio-navicode.honda.com/

 

We don't give radio codes out over the phone. Some law issue that we can get in trouble for.

 

i just bought a used honda accord 98 but they didnt have the code. i think the serial# is fthb24l1k2 and the vin# is 1HGCG5653WA034074. thank you
