So everything was put together, the axles were in, but the clutch was not grabbing at all! yesterday, I was going to start taking the motor out to see what is wrong with it, so I jack up the passenger side, and I hear oil coming from somewhere. My driver side axle was not pushed into the tranny as much as it could go. There was a good inch in between the tranny and the axle. I hade the huge axle nut tightened, and the axle was too short. Is this why its not grabbing?
Today, I jacked up the other side, took off the wheels, started it up, and put it in first, and the driver side axle was moving like crazy, but the passenger side was barely moving. Like barely......... for the most part the passenger side was stopped, and every now and then it would move about an inch. Its not lsd, so I dont know what to make of it.
Is it possible that I put my disc in backwards. Would it have this effect?
Any suggestions?

Putting you clutch disc in backwards would not effect your diff. it would probly just make a horrable grinding noise. What motor/trans do you have what axels are you using? Also if one of your axels was out on an open diff. the car wouldnt move at all and it might seem like you clutch wasnt grabbing.
