outer tie rod install question
I needed to know how many turns to give the tie rod when installing on the inner tie rod so that the tires could be somewhat aligned? The reason I ask is because I just purchased a new rack and I need to install the new outers. I know I still need to align the car but this way there wont be so much adjusting when it comes down to aligning.. Thanks for any feedback.
no one is going to be able to tell you how many turns to put it in. what you should have done was measure your old rack. each ride height has a different toe setting. what you can do is string it or put long boards next to the wheels and just get it close. your not gona wana drive more then to the alignment shop.
I measured it off the old tie rods and then went straight to the alignment shop.
