Default Which motor to go with?

so as some of you might know i picked up a 00 itr shell recently (its still in Huston,TX but I'm making arrangements to have it brought down to the Canadian border) if you know any towing place that would be able to bring it for decent price, IM me

rebuilt/project thread here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/2331848

just wanted to hear ideas as to which motor i should put in (at the end of the day i still make the final decision) but i wanted to hear people out and get some feedback or ideas, any suggestions are greatly appreciated

depends how much you want to spend.

USDM/JDM B18C5 around 4K shipped, ready to drop in.
K20a2 3500 shipped, BUT you need a bunch of additional parts and fab work so its more like 6-7K when done
K20a2 with s/c??? dont understand why thats even an option.

I'd do a K.

And my opinion is unbiased, had a built B18C5. Now I have K and wouldn't go back.

If I wanted a built motor in the future, I would go ahead and do a k-series. However, I personally do not. I'm sticking with a B18C5 for my build. However, my personal answer may be biased... it was always the plan from the beginning though.

On that note, I'd personally do a J37 swap. Hasport is going to start selling their swap kit soon...

Going with a K20/k24 would be my option if I bought an ITR shell for a good price.

This is your one opportunity to go FAST and be cool at the same time. K20A is where its at, in fact, go for the gusto, and go K24A2. You will be so happy when the next Type R pulls up next to you, and revs, and you just know deep down that you would smoke the $hit out of him. But you don't of course. You just stay on track and go on your merry way. ROCK ON.
