ok so i have a 03 civic si with 43k miles. The story is i launched my car today at 3500rpm (racing a friends hatch) and it didnt go to 2nd. Then when i tryed putting it back to 1st it wouldnt go in at all it felt like first was locked. The only way to put it to 1st now is by reversing about 5 inches then putting it to 1st while rolling. Every other gear goes in smoothly ive had problems on 1st gear but not even close to this point. PLZZ someone help me i have no idea what to do

 

man i had this same problem. But I was at a stop light. I kinda forced it over into first and eventually it went. Not sure why it does this though. Ever since then it hasnt happend at all

 

dude its [freak]in horrible i dunno what to do im sure once it cools off like tomorrow morning its going to b good but i hope my clutch is not burned out or i think i might need alignment

 

its not the clutch sounds like the tranny is bad. something isnt lining up thats why you have to put it into reverse to get it to go into 1st

 

probly a tranny issue, but before you go get it replaced try forcing it into first. I did, took a bit to get it but after I did it worked fine.. then drive it to a shop
