There are two kinds. Pants and overpants (both are selfexplanatory).

As for sizing, check out on the sites...generally they have sizing info on the item description.

For brands, it seems like Tour Master (Cortech) is a really popular brand (specially with the dualsport/touring crowd). I am looking foward to buying some Teknic pants, my experience with the brand has been great

I had a pair of Joe Rocket textile pants. They were my size, but built to be worn over pants. The biggest drawback was they were not vented. The pants were easier to slip on and off than leathers.

i got some alpine * jeans with slip in shin/knee guards that would probably have better use by my gf . but on a good note they are double lined, and better quality than most jeans i wear.

I got some First Gear HT Air overpants. So they are meant to be worn over your normal pants. They have a removable zip out liner that keeps you warm on the colders days, but it's acutally meant to keep you dry on those wet days. Full length zipper on the sides. Foam armor in the knees, and you can get optional hip armor, which I got. Zipperd pockets to hold your crap. Certain areas stretch and the waist band is adjustable. With the liner removed, the ventilation is great.

Here is a link to where I got them from:

Sounds exactly like my Joe Rocket 7.0 Over-pants, but they were cheaper

I tried on several pairs of Textile pants at Cyclegear and found all of them to be extremely uncomfortable. I ended up buying a pair of Teknic Warrior jeans instead. I do wear Icon Field Leg Armor and Icon Field Armor shorts underneath it though.

You are 3 steps ahead of the typical rider out of FL it seems, wearing a beater, flip flops, and shorts

Haha...so true. With their helmet strapped on the rear of the bike as they fly down I-4. I see it everyday. I've been to a few motorcycle meeting places and I'm one of the few wearing gear. I get this strange look because I'm not in shorts with no shirt.

I don't know how people can ride in flip flops. I sat on my bike while on stands, with flip flops and just moving my foot up against the shifter was uncomfortable.

Saw a dude yesterday riding a brand new R sexor, wearing shorts, T shirt and flip flops........and yeah and sunglasses. Not very many people wear helmets out here.

I love the idea of the Draggin Liners, has anyone tried these out?

That sounds pretty cool; I never really thought about that. The thing that has always stopped me from getting riding pants is that I usually have to walk around for a while after I ride somewhere, and I don't want to look goofy in big baggy riding pants. Overpants could solve that...

(or I could just be hardcore and get chaps )

That would be easier, since you already have assless chaps sitting in your closet.
