Default help with my 1990 honda crx

I have a 1990 honda CRX that I drove from Washington State to Wyoming before it broke down. What happened was, I was giving it acceleration and all of a sudden the car was still on, but no acceleration was giving. We had it towed to Little America Wyoming, where let me say dont let them work on your CAR. At first we thought it was the fuel filter, NO gas was getting to the engine, so we replaced that. Costing me 120 from part and service. Tried to start it, Click Click Click, the engine WONT turn over. So my dad ( who is still in Washington ) thought the timing belt slipped. But in order for me to be able to check whats wrong I looked for the flashing LED light under my left passenger floor. it blinked once, meaning the oxygen sensor is out, well ive been trying for 3 days now to get that SOB off the car. and nothing is working. my dad is guiding me via phone trying different things to get it off. None of which have worked., so i figure F**k that part, the car wont start and I dont have enough money at the moment to take it into a shop and get it repaired. DOES any1 know how to reset the LED error light? I need to figure out whats wrong without changing the oxygen sensor for now. Any help is greatly appreciated, because as of now i have to get a ride to work from my mom

I'm not sure whats wrong with your car, but its not your oxygen sensor. That's an completely significant item. It is not required for the engine to run. It however is required for the ECU to be able to enter closed loop mode and manage the fuel/air ratios in a manner that is conductive to minimial emissions performance.

Your O2 sensor is not the problem, ignore the ECU error code. It's a courtesty notice, but it wont prevent the engine from running. Move along.

Does it even crank, or nothing at all? If it does not crank, check the ignition switch, if thats fine, check your starter and see if it clicks.

If it cranks, make sure your fuel pump is running, listen for it, or check for fuel flow with the 2 second window when turning on the car. If you can hear your fuel pump, check your ignition system.

Hey, this is nooblet's dad in Seattle. Any help would be appreciated. The car just died going down the freeway. It still cranks and turns over. The mechanic that tried to help first thought it was a timing belt. But the belt is still there. Then he said no fuel was getting through the fuel filter, so they replaced it. But that didn't do anything. So they towed it to Dallas.

I wanted him to check for a spark, but he doesn't even have a plug wrench. What's a good way to do that? My guess is a coil or a cracked distributor cap/rotor. Or the timing belt skipped a tooth?

Possible fuel pump failure. Or something in the fuel tank blocking the line.

more likely ignition related. have him get a new plug, any plug and pull a spark plug boot off and put the new plug on the boot. have him hold it to one of the chrome capped studs on the valvecover and have someone else crank and see if he sees a blue spark. its quite possible its the coil or the ignitor which is in the distributor as well

im with rustbucket if you not getting fuel to engine then its not a ignition prob. check and make sure you can hear the main relay opening and closing if so then listen for the fuel pump to kick on. then have one of these
