Default will 96 mt ecu work for a 98?

will a 96 accord manual ecu work for a 98 manual accord both with f22's

im asking this because of the immobilizer chip? do the 96 have immobilizers?

im doing a auto to manual swap on a 98 coupe and the local u--pull it has a 96 manual ecu ?? will it work and will i have to do any wiring changes cause of the ecu

i already wired the car for the manual swap and it drives with the auto ecu, but its in limp mode cause auto ecu please help fast

Are you sure your 98 Accord has an F22? Must be a swap, I'm pretty sure most 98-02's came with the F23's. If you do have an F22 is it VTEC or Non VTEC? You will need to get the M/T ECU that matches the engine. No the 96 Accord ECU's did not use the immobilizer.
