Default Finally back with a new project. (ED6 - 1988 Civic Hatch)

I finally decided to start a new project. Some of you might remember my coupe from a ways back that I missed SO much, I had to build another older Honda.

Here's the old EJ1:

And here's the new project:

I'll update with tons of pics this time around. So far I've gutted most of the car. Tonight I'll remove the carpet and then clean up all the rest of the trash and miscelleneous **** in there.

Plans are to build the car for the track and street. Since it's my second car (I have an AP1 for the dd), I plan on leaving the car gutted with no ac and just a seat. I won't be shaving anything, but I will be tucking as much as I can. It will be a slowwww build and you can see will require a TON of work. I'll probably have more updates tonight.

Removed/trashed the door panels and rear wiper motor.
Removed the dashboard.
Removed/trashed blower/ac, still have to finish removing the heater core. Anyone done this? I guess I'll re-route the houses into each other or go get a new one to loop.

Haha, hellllll no. Planning on matching it to my Silverstone AP1.

More updates from today.
I took apart what I could on the dash and removed things on the back that I didn't need such as the air ducting. I scuffed and painted the dash and the stupid chrome gauge cluster bezel, then reassembled.

It sure did. It's on the right track now. Hopefully I can get the heater core out tomorrow and the dash back in.

In the past 2 days, we...
- removed sound deadening
- removed window tint
- removed headlights/tailights/other stuff
- removed motor/tranny

are you going to be just scuffing up the paint and shooting or are you going to take it down quite a bit before laying down the paint?

I'll definitely sand through must of it. At least all of the black and yellow spray paint. The factory paint will mainly just be scuffed up by the time I get down to it.

Right now it's most likely going to be a built b-series. I'm wanting to keep it all motor with toda vtec killer cams and at least a fully built head. The car will be streetable, but it will see some autocross events, and any track time we can get. We also want to take it to some shows to represent the company.

Just moved so I haven't had much time to work on it. Right now I'm trying to find a passenger fender and front bumper in good shape, then it's time to start sanding. Prep work pictures coming up soon.
