ok ive got a 97 ls and its wired for tweaters but i dont have them so im wondering can i just splice in some real speakers or would they be to big for the amps or whatever

 

it'll probably work... somewhat. but i wouldn't imagine they'd sound great or anything as i'd imagine the wattage going to those tweeters is pretty minimal. why are you doing this? you may find more info in the audio forum.

 

ya i asked in the audio forum. ive just got an extra set of speakers and want to put them to use. do u think i could splice into my front or rear speakers and run them off that? would that make them not as loud?

it would work.. it doesnt matter if its for tweeters as long as your amp is made for components not subwoofer .. speakers would would work as long as it has power pushing it

 

ok so i just wired it up and ive found that it works fine but found that it rattles when not placeing slight pressure on both sides of the actual speakers part so im gonna need to find a way to replicate that after i mount it. idk how im gunna do that though so any advice would be awesome
