i got a 2001 gsr. i had my suspension done at around 11k and now at 21k i have a abs light on. and its telling me that its a high pressure leak? i'm bout to take it in? you think the dealer is going to give me crap about this? my mods are, kyb agx and gc's. i also got a aem, fpr, and exhaust.... give me some pointers.

 

you will get the run around from your dealer. Especially since the abs is brake /suspension related. Hope you have a nice dealership.

 

when i took my car to the local acura dealer No names mentioned cough cough FALCONI'S ACURA cough. they were complete *** holes but this dealership is known for that so better luck to you than i had.

 

so you guys think that its better for me to go through all the time and put my stock suspension back in?

I have a great acura dealer by me. Motorcars, in Cleveland. I have a 98 LS, and have had the following replaced- not because the itmes broke, but because they were not "perfect" anymore and I wanted them in "new" condition again. This was a no-muss, no fuss ordeal- pretty much anything I ask for they replace. I asked for new rims.centercaps, and they ordered them without even looking at my car. Best thing after this, I get brand new TL to drive while they work on my car- for free.


I have had the following:
1. Both front headlights (water in them)
2. Rear hatch weatherseal
3. Passenger door window trim- under the glass- missing
4. Drivers door weathersealing- noise on freeway
5. 4 New aluminum rims/center caps- corrosion
6. Re-torque moonroof due to noises
7. New vlave cover- flaking paint
8. Shift boot- ring at top was cracked
9. Heat shields rattled- removed
10. Drivers door interior piece- "vinyl" came loose by door handle
11. Other misc. rattles

This is why I will buy another Acura. No-one else is ever going to be this good.

 

the acura dealer i went to for my blown motor warrantied everything. brand new head, transmission, and clutch.

 

had a friend with a Auto 97+ prelude ... and her auto tranny died premature 50k .. honda blamed it on her suspension drop/wheel combination .. and refused the repair ... so there shife sometimes

is it worth the hassle to change over..susp for ABS ? umm no ... when i bought my used Integra 4years ago ... it had BAD abs .. they replaced the ABS system ENTIRELY .. and a year later its out again .. i have yet to check the codes ... but man just seems like too much matenance with all these sensors .. ive just delt with it .. one of these days ill unplug the little light (:
