I've seen it before in a few mags, and I wanted to see if anyone on H-T is doing it.
I don't know if there is another term for it or not but you put the spacers on the hinge on your hood and lift up the back
....ahh screw it just post em!!!

i do home theater installations and when we hang plasmas there are shims in the hardware for the wall mount that work perfect! thats what I used. Im about to market them and charge ridiculous prices for them lol

With my K24, I ran small props to clear the PS belt better.

Its only use is to clear engine swaps that don't quite fit all the way in the bays of certain cars. Don't let people tell you this is for aerodynamics, don't let them tell you it's for evacuating heat from under the hood...it does nothing but put the hood up about an inch or so, and make you look like you've got frame damage.
Anywho, for the sake of diplomacy, I must interject that my statements about the looks of the jDmH0OdPr0p are in my opinion, and you should do whatever you like.

^^^the only reason why i would run a hood prop..........to clear a swap.

go to home depot, get some longer screws, some spacers and place spacer in between the hood and hinge. then screw it all together. Then your done and have a hood that doesnt fit.
