I thought JDM tranny's came with Vin stickers?

98 jdm itr transmissions don't have VIN numbers, just 2 blank drilled holes, not even threaded. the red paint on the block code means that the motor was a rebuilt motor in japan.

I bought a brand new Type R block from Acura a couple of years ago and it had the orange paint on the block code. I have heard that it is the marking from the assembler of the motor???
