word, whats the problem? maybe it is hot but oh well it happens all the time, **** sucks but its part of the honda game...not much you can do about it. the tranny looks jdm, usually if someone drilled out the vin on the tranny you can see where it used to be at least. the block number does look like it has been tampered with though

My OBD1 JDM GSR came with a sticker. Also, there are no drill holes or anything on the tranny for a tag. And there's no such thing as OBD2 JDM.

What do you need holes for if there were stickers?

98 jdm itr transmissions don't have VIN numbers, just 2 blank drilled holes, not even threaded. the red paint on the block code means that the motor was a rebuilt motor in japan.

Yeah, I was also going to say that about the block code as well. Thanks for clarifying.

I bought a brand new Type R block from Acura a couple of years ago and it had the orange paint on the block code. I have heard that it is the marking from the assembler of the motor???

Rebuilt or passed an inspection. Or maybe something else.
