when i was a valet, there were two cars that i hated driving the most. a Chrysler Sebring and this car...

 

As long as it gets around reliably and does what a car should, then it's fine. It's just a car. I wouldn't waste your money on putting 20" rims or anything like that on it. Just keep it how it is. Drive it and take care of it. Save up your money and get your credit situation taken care of. Then if you decide you want a fancier car in the future you can get one.

I actually prefer a newer, reliable, and comfortable car.

Those 20" Chrome will make you look like a cheap Baller. Depending on where you live, it will be stolen.

I would go for a nice set of 18 painted silver instead.

Use the Malibu SS for inspiration instead.

Have either of you ever owned a domestic? And by that I mean an everyday one, not a Corvette or something like that?

My first car was a domestic. It had a private party value of $10k when I bought it. Two years later? Under $4k....no joke.

(I'm not hating; resale isn't everything, after all.)

 

Honestly I never gave the malibu much thought at all.....untill the new ones came out. These have to be the most homely looking car known to man. I get irate every time one of the Mailbu MAXX station wagon things drives by.

I mean honestly out off all the designs that was the winner???? WTF did the designs look like that they didnt pick?? A bunch of guys standing around going damn that is one great looking vehicle! we NEED to build that!! Oh and should we come up with an original name for this hunk of ****?? no lets just name it after another great car that GM has turned to crap in the last few decades. Like driving this thing makes any one think of Malibu, California what a joke
