i have an auto lock for my clutch, and yesterday my dad was driving my car. when he came back he put it back on but he put it back on incorrectly. then he needed my car again so when he tried to take it off, the key wouldnt turn and the autolock isnt comming off. i went out there and took a look and tried my hardest turning the key but the thing isnt moving. i dont know what the [freak] he did but im so pissed because i cant get that **** off my car.

anyone know a way to help me get that thing off? im not looking to cut it off or bend it off. just a way i can get the key to unlock it. [freak]en ****.

pull the handle and at the same time step on the frame of the auto lock to unhinge the locking mechanism and then turn the key all at once. your dad probably just yanked the **** out of it thats why it locked up.

 

the weird thing is he didnt yank the **** out of it. it was loose and was hanging there. wasnt stable at all and for some reason the key would not turn. i even bent the key turning it so hard. but yea i solved this problem. hit it with a hammer while turning the key lossened up the internals i guess and got it unlocked.

 

Spray graphite into the lock. Sometimes the pins can stick.

Hitting it with a hammer with the key inserted most likely jarred the pins and allowed them to seat on the key.
