Default Need Help or expertise for work on my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

I have an 96 non-vtec ls and currently have 200k miles on my car...so far i have an intake and exhuast...im looking for some power, and my budget is no more than 6k. Im a daily driver, so i want something that will give power something that is reliable and later i will do something for handling...i was thinking either getting a rebuild done and then sc my ls, ls-vtec, or should i just get a gsr swap then do something from their??

well since your Ls has a considerable amount of miles on it , id say go with a gsr swap
It will be a nice Daily Driver with less of a headache(Ls-Vtec Troubles if not done correctly)

dude if your budget is 6k.. you have alot of options.. and ls motors aren't worth rebuilding you can just buy another one with low miles for 600 and down

I want good power, but i heard sc is less maintenance than a turbo...so i was thinking of getting a sc for my ls...which product would be good for power for handling on curvy roads sc cuz quicker response or turbo?...also which gets better mpg?

Youre going to be disappointed with an s/c LS so dont go that route.

Your LS might have some life left and it might not. You can swap in a gsr for now and either save the rest or build an ls/vtec turbo or something of the sort.
